Nook Simple Touch Reader - Slip Sleeve/Cover

I enjoy reading a great deal. Always have. I enjoyed the feel a book in my hand. My favorite place is and always has been, the library. I would order books without either reading them, or finish reading them. One book always led me to another and so forth. Soon, my room was filled with book I had planned on reading - but never have. No, I will not be on an episode of Hoarders. And those books are sitting in my garage on a two book shelves. Not two as in two shelves, but two as in two separate book shelves full of books. I have thought about giving my books to the library, but after seeing Fahrenheit 451 (that is the temperature paper burns at when on fire) I have this need to keep them (watch the movie and you will know what I am speaking about). Fast forward to a few years later and the advent of the e-reader. I first learned of the Sony e-reader and was going to get one, but decided against it. I loved my physical books too much. Now fast forward a few more years later and the arrival of The Kindle. I absolutely enjoyed the Kindle because I could carry a ton of books around without carrying a ton of books around. I had the Kindle for a bit but moved over to the Nook because of my account (and discount) with Barnes and Noble - and besides, when it comes to book, Barnes and Noble is my go-to place. I went through both the Nook 1 edition and the Nook E-reader, now the Nook Tablet.' I enjoyed the Nook Tablet because the books where in color (well the covers were) and I could read magazines on it - not all, but some. Last month I graduated to the Nook Touch or Nook 2nd Edition. I say graduate, because sometimes simple is better.

The Nook 1 Edition was just an e-reader in which books and magazines/newspapers could be downloaded and read on the device. The Nook Reader, changed to Tablet recently, was a device in which could do what the 1 Edition did, but you now had apps on it such as Pandora in addition to Angry Birds, EPI and Email. I had the Nook Reader before the name was changed to Nook Tablet and the best app it had was Pandora for listening to music while you read or just listen to music period. I was able to access Facebook and my Email via the browser on this particular device. Thus, my reading began taking a back seat on a device that was designed just for that. This is why I enjoy the Nook Touch immensely. I do exactly what I am supposed to with an e-reader and that's read. As with any device, I wondered what is the best way to protect it from scratches and such while carrying it with me, either in my hand or in a back pack. With the Nook Touch, I found two things I like to carry it in. A hard case and a slip sleeve.

I purchased a slip sleeve from Barnes and Noble's website to be used mostly for when I carry my Nook in my sling back bag
As mentioned, I thoroughly enjoy reading and having the Nook Touch makes it that much more enjoyable. No, it does not have Pandora or anything of that nature on it, but that's OK. I do not want to be anymore distracted that I already get by what's going on around me. If Barnes and Noble could build a pop up reading room, I would be one happy person.
